Nicholas Rosin BFA

Exploring textures and patterns used in the jewellery technique of engraving, Nicholas Rosin creates ornate vessels and functional objects. Rosin has recently taken part in the 2016 NSSCD summer residency and currently furthers his practice in the Garrison Artists Annex at the Halifax Seaport.

18. Jewellery II

Make a ring, brooch and pendant. This Jewellery 2 course offers advanced methods of jewellery fabrication. Students will be introduced to using multiple solder joints, cold connections and forming techniques for jewellery. Each project will have a theme to direct students towards an individual design and aesthetic. This course is ideal for people who intend to explore and expand their practice in jewellery.

19. Keepsake Container

Expand your understanding of metal fabrication by creating a lidded metal container. Students will be introduced to soldering large seams and exploring metal forming techniques. Learn how to make mechanisms such as hinges, rivets and pressure fitting components.  On completion of this 8 week course students will have designed and fabricated their very own metal container.
