Kaas Ghanie BFA

Kaas (Kaashif) Ghanie was born in London Ontario in 1989.  He received his Bachelors of Fine Art in Ceramics, at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University as well as Minor in Art History. Originally his practice was working in interdisciplinary methods, in the realm of sculpture and drawing, it was not until NSCAD Ceramics where he was introduced to clay.  Highly intrigued by the ceramic process and making Ghanie was hooked into wheel throwing large vessels.

06. Advanced Ceramics Tuesday Day

This class is split up into two modules of four-weeks each (students are required to register for both). Registration includes both modules with a 2 installment payment of $150 + hst each. This class will be a very focused class organized as an independent project. Each student will have eight weeks to come up with and execute a project that they are passionate about. Using skills, they have developed from other ceramics classes, such as hand building or wheel throwing, each student will create either a large piece or a series of smaller works.

07. Intro Ceramics Tuesday Night

This class is split up into two modules of four-weeks each (students are required to register for both). Registration includes both modules with a 2 installment payment of $150 + hst each. Students will learn the basic techniques of working with clay from wheel thrown to hand building.  This course will allow students to develop a style of work and experiment with various surface textures and decoration.
