Course Overview

Learn the basics of machine sewing while making a double-sided fabric mask. This project is not only extremely useful it is also the perfect vehicle for practicing beginner machine skills that are needed to continue in your sewing journey. Multi-sized patterns and all notions needed to complete 2 masks are included in the kit. Bring at least one fat quarter (approx. 20” x 22”) of 100% cotton fabric to make your mask. If you would like a reversible mask (with a different colour on the other side) or to potentially make more than one during class, please bring additional fabric.

Students who have their own sewing machines to learn on are encouraged to bring them to class. A few machines will be available in the studio for those who do not have their own.
